New York, NY – Today Riot Games confirmed that FlyQuest Sports, an esports organization owned by Fortress Investment Group co-founder and Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wes Edens, will return to the rift as one of ten partnered teams of the NA LCS. FlyQuest participated in the 2017 Spring and Summer splits of the NA LCS having finished 4th and 7th respectively.
“We’re extremely proud of our acceptance into the NALCS as a partnered team.” said FlyQuest General Manager Ryan Edens. “It’s an incredible honor to be surrounded by a group of passionate and intelligent owners who will help push the sport, and community, to greater heights. Our main focus this year will be to truly give back to our fans and push fan engagement to the next level. Our fans are the most important part of the whole organization - through content and fan influenced experiences, we will showcase everything the FlyQuest community brings to the table.”
FlyQuest also released today an Open Letter to its fans as well as a refreshed logo design. “We felt that now served as a great time for us to really dig deep and evaluate our approach, as an org, from this past year.” Edens said. “We feel we did not give our fans, and the community as a whole, the best of FlyQuest. Now we feel we are the best position than possible to give the fans what they deserve.”
The new logo represents a new, bolder look and has been refreshed to further embody the company's continuous expansion. A strong prominent “F” interlocks with the “Q,” giving the logo a sense of both connectedness and inclusiveness, two core pillars of the overall brand. The harder edges in the letter form truly provides a stronger and more impassioned presence, while the angularity conveys forward momentum.
In addition, the new logo features a new color palette for the team which will shift from the white and gold featured last year, to a hunter green and gold. The color shift is a clear tie to the organization's roots. The hunter green ties directly to the team’s association with the Milwaukee Bucks while the gold pays homage to FlyQuest’s humble beginnings.
FlyQuest currently operates teams across three different titles; League of Legends, PUBG, and Rocket League. All three teams will take on the new brand identity.
