New York, NY – FlyQuest Sports, an esports organization owned by Fortress Investment Group co-founder and Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wes Edens,  has announced that they have brought on Nicholas Phan to serve as their General Manager. The role was previously held by Ryan Edens, who has transitioned to CEO.

“Nick has a proven track record of success and it is an honor to welcome him to the family.” said FlyQuest CEO Ryan Edens. “He brings a competitive attitude and a great vision of the entire esports scene that will push us to be better day in and day out.”

Phan’s competitive nature stems from his experience as a national level swimmer. He left UCLA and went on to work four years in wealth management before diving into esports. Phan entered esports in 2015 and served as the General Manager for Team Liquid. Most recently he was the General Manager of Immortals.

“I am extremely excited to be a part of the FlyQuest family” said Phan. “They share my passion for the space and only want success for their players and the organization. I will always cherish my time at Immortals but am excited for the future and what lies ahead with FlyQuest.”

Phan will be based in Los Angeles and oversee the growth and development of the FlyQuest NA LCS and Academy Rosters and staff, as well as future progression and expansion into other titles.
