New York, NY – FlyQuest Sports, an esports organization owned by Fortress Investment Group co-founder and Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wes Edens, has announced that they have hired Tricia Sugita to serve as their Chief Operating Officer. Sugita joins FlyQuest from the LA Valiant and Immortals, where she served as the Head of Partnerships, managing the entire Business Development process from sales to activation and everything in between.
“Tricia comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and experience in the gaming and esports world and we are honored that she now calls FlyQuest home,” said FlyQuest CEO Ryan Edens. “Having spent time both in front of, and behind, the camera, Tricia brings a refreshing perspective to the team that is more than welcome. She shares my vision for FlyQuest and I know that her drive will help us execute on it.”
Prior to the LA Valiant and Immortals, Sugita was the Global Director of Esports for Azubu. By the time she moved to Immortals, she had led an international team to increase web traffic to 12 million unique monthly viewers through a global influencer strategy. Before that, she hosted and interviewed esports events such as IGN ProLeague 3, 4 and 5, North American StarLeague and the Collegiate StarLeague. Going even further back, she was a broadcaster and a competitive player herself. She was one of the top ranked StarCraft II players and also one of the most prominent female streamers during the early days of Twitch. She even made appearances in a few high profile YouTube videos. Honestly, what can’t she do?
“After meeting with Ryan Edens, I knew that FlyQuest could become the perfect conclusion to my long journey through the esports ecosystem,” said Sugita. “Everyone here shares my vision of what the ideal esports organization should be, and I am excited to contribute my ideas and passion to the FlyFam. These are exciting times for anyone who connects with this ever expanding community and organization. I am just happy to call FlyQuest my home.”
Sugita will be based in Los Angeles and oversee the growth and development of the FlyQuest Organization. With a strong vision for the future, she will look to empower all members in the organization to achieve their fullest potentials.
