Thursday, December 7th, 2017

New York, NY – FlyQuest Sports, an esports organization owned by Fortress Investment Group co-founder and Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wes Edens,  has announced that they have signed two former Team Dignitas starters. Midlaner Jang “Keane” Lae-young and jungler Lee “Shrimp” Byeong-hoon will join FlyQuest’s Academy Roster. Keane and Shrimp round out an academy roster consisting of former University of Toronto members Alvin “Ngo” Ngo, Sang “Erry” Park, Juan “Jayj” Guibert.

“We are extremely excited to have both Keane and Shrimp join our academy roster” said FlyQuest GM, Nick Phan. “They are both LCS caliber players with a lot of experience which will be invaluable as they assume leadership roles with the younger players.  Our blueprint was to find veteran players to work with our less experienced players which we feel will accelerate their growth.  Our hope is to create an environment of integration between LCS and academy that will be mutually beneficial to both.  It was important for us to find players that were aligned both culturally as well as from a personality perspective.  Keane and Shrimp outlined their motivation to return to play together, as well as a desire to return to the LCS stage. Both feel FlyQuest is the best home to help them get back there, while also honing their skills.  I am truly excited for what next year brings.”

Both Keane & Shrimp are veterans of the NALCS having both spent the majority of their careers playing in North America. Keane spent time on Team Curse, and Gravity before joining Apex Gaming. Shrimp made a similar journey, beginning his career in the LCS with NRG Esports before joining team Apex at the beginning of 2016. Apex Gaming was acquired by Team Dignitas and the Philadelphia 76ers in September of 2016.

Keane & Shrimp will join the academy roster in Los Angeles where they will begin practice and scrims in the coming weeks, gearing up for the beginning of the 2018 split.
