New York, NY – FlyQuest Sports, an esports organization owned by Fortress Investment Group co-founder and Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wes Edens,  unveiled their full coaching staff for the 2018 season. Leading the charge will be Head Coach Robert Yip, with Assistant Coach Nick “Lufty” Luft, and Strategic Coach Jung “RapidStar” Min-sung, former Strategic Coach of SK Telecom in Korea. The Academy Team will be lead by Head Coach Gabriel “Invert” Zoltan-Johan. The coaching staff is rounded out by Team Manager, Joshua “Mins” Kim.

“It is with extreme pleasure that I present the 2018 FlyQuest coaching staff for the inaugural LCS franchise season” said GM Nick Phan. “Ryan Edens and I spent much time thoughtfully building the team with all of these individuals. I’m excited to continue this competitive journey of success with staff I’ve worked with before in our Manager Mins (Josh), Head Coach Robert, and Assistant Coach Nick (Lufty). As part of the #FLYFAM we are also thrilled to announce the additions of our new Strategic Coach, Rapidstar, as well as our Academy Head Coach Invert (Gabriel). With our newly revamped roster and coaching staff, and a reignited dedication to spreading our wings in this community, the #FLYFAM is ready to take flight, and we’re excited for you to come on board for 2018 and many more years.”

Prior to joining FlyQuest, Robert Yip served as the Strategic Coach for Immortals where he worked closely with Top Laner “Flame”, Jungler “Anda”, and Support “Stunt”. He also worked closely with now Assistant Coach Lufty.

“Going into pre-season and talking with different teams I wanted to find a home that aligned with me culturally” said Head Coach Robert Yip. “ When Flyquest spoke with me they were very open to my opinions about staff and players alike.  This was very important for me I wanted to feel part of the rebuilding process. I am delighted with the staff acquisitions and player pick ups during the off-season.  Going forward I think that we have a solid foundation and camaraderie that should make for a positive environment.  We will work tirelessly to make sure that we can compete with the best, Showcase Greatness and make the fans proud #FLYFIGHTING.”

Gabriel “Invert” Zoltan-Johan joins FlyQuest after a long and successful stint as the head coach of the University of Toronto. There, he oversaw the growth and development of players such as Vincent “Biofrost” Wang. During his tenure, the University of Toronto Invert brought the team to victory at the Taipei Universiade, and to the finals of the 2017 Tencent Global Collegiate Cup and ULoL NA Finals.

"I'm absolutely thrilled to be apart of FlyQuest for the 2018 season” said Academy Head Coach Gabriel Zoltan-Johan. “After a stellar collegiate season at University of Toronto that saw local and international victories, we were looking through offers for the best fit for all of us as we moved on to the next level of our careers. FlyQuest checked all the boxes, and showed that they were an organization willing to go the extra mile to satisfy players and fans. Integration is an important part of the FlyQuest philosophy, and we've formed a collective roster and staff that will be more than strong enough to complement that strategy.”
