New York, NY – Today FlyQuest Sports, an esports organization owned by Fortress Investment Group co-founder and Milwaukee Bucks co-owner Wes Edens, announced their expansion into the Rocket League scene by acquiring the roster of eQuinox gaming. eQuinox is comprised of Gabriel “CorruptedG” Vallozzi, Robert “Chrome” Gomez, and Kais “Sadjunior” Zehri. The move comes just ahead of the beginning of Season 4 of the Rocket League Championship Series, or RLCS, which is operated in conjunction with Psyonix, Inc. and Twitch eSports.
“We are extremely excited to announce our involvement in the Rocket League community and the expansion of our brand into other titles,” said FlyQuest General Manager Ryan Edens. “We have been following the scene for some time now and are really impressed with Twitch, Psyonix, and especially, the boys of eQuinox. We look forward to supporting the entire Rocket League community and making a run for the title in Season 4 of the RLCS.”
With an appearance in every World Championship in the RLCS, Sadjunior is no stranger to the scene. “It is always great to see new organizations with the passion and backings of FlyQuest get into Rocket League. Our shared passion for the Rocket League community and their desire to support not just us, but everyone involved, proved to us that they are in it for the long run. We are proud to bring our professional experience and our drive to the FlyQuest family.”
FlyQuest has operated in eSports for eight months after acquiring the Cloud 9 LCS Challenger team in January of this year. This is the first eSports team they will operate outside of League of Legends.
